A Lesson in Mysticism

A fish on my table.

I need to see the ocean
in your eyes.
Teach me dearest friend.

I need to hear the waves
in your ears.
Teach me dearest friend.

I need to drown in the water
of your heart.
Teach me dearest friend.

The fish says,
"Okay. Eat me, if you dare."
"I will."
"But you wont."
"I must."
"But you can't."
"Shut up!"

The fish is silent.

The fish becomes cold.

Mother enters
and throws

the fish out into the rain.

The table is empty.

So am I.

End of lesson.
